Duplex fire displaces 3 people, 1 dog in DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Three people and a pet were displaced after a fire broke out in their home on Sunday.

DC Fire and EMS responded to the 3900 block of Alabama Avenue in Southeast and were met with fire showing from the top floor of a two-story end row duplex.

Southeast DC apartment fire leaves woman seriously injured, officials say

Firefighters confined the fire to the bedroom on the second floor.

One person had to be evaluated by EMS personnel.
