Communities hold vigil, protests after woman killed by ICE agent in Minnesota

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Protests and vigils unfolded across the District Thursday night following a deadly shooting involving a federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent in Minnesota.

Community members in the Petworth neighborhood gathered for a candlelight vigil honoring those negatively affected by ICE, including 37-year-old Renee Good, a mother of three who was shot and killed during a federal operation.

At the same time, hundreds of others rallied across the city on U Street, speaking out against ICE and calling for accountability.
