Early this morning, DC Fire and EMS reported a collision that occurred at the intersection of 34th and Benning Road NE. A single vehicle was involved, having careened into a retaining wall, which resulted in one individual being trapped inside. DC Fire and EMS Department took to social media to share updates on the incident.

The first responders’ efforts were stalwart, extricating one adult male who sustained serious injuries amidst the twisted metal. After being freed by the Rescue Squad, this individual was promptly transported for medical attention. Concurrently, another adult male emerged from the wreckage with minor injuries; he refused transportation after being treated at the scene.

According to the DC Fire and EMS social media post, the crash led to significant response from emergency crews, which quickly sealed off the area to address the hazards presented by the vehicle’s damage and to aid the individuals involved.
