Tech Talk | Former USAID employee pivots after being laid off, wins award from Technical.ly

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Kathleen Borgueta was laid off last year while she was on maternity leave.

ā€œI used to work at USAID. I’d spent almost 20 years in a career in maternal and child health, and I found myself, unfortunately, being terminated at the beginning of last year, right when I was postpartum,ā€ she said.

Since leaving USAID, Borgueta now runs an organization she calls Pivoting Parents, which helps other federal workers who have been laid off…
