Value City Furniture has permanently closed its Rockville location at 12055 Rockville Pike in the Montrose Crossing Shopping Center.
The store has already shut its doors and has been completely cleared out. The closure is part of a broader nationwide liquidation following the collapse of the company’s parent, American Signature Inc.
Value City Furniture filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in November 2025, initially announcing plans to close 33 underperforming stores while attempting to restructure the business (Rockville was scheduled to be one of the closures). That plan unraveled in early January 2026 after the company was unable to secure a buyer to keep operations running.
