Suitland Man Took Forgotten Lottery Ticket Around The World — Then Found Out It Won $100,000

A Prince George’s County man nearly let a $100,000 lottery win slip away — not because he lost the ticket, but because he forgot it was there.

The Suitland resident, who works at a local hotel and buys lottery tickets about twice a week, picked up a $20 Holiday Raffle ticket in November while grabbing food at Marlow Wings in Temple Hills, tucked it into his wallet, and didn’t think about it again for nearly two months.

“I’ve had luck with raffles in the past,” he said. “I thought to myself, ‘Somebody has to win, why not?’”…
