A Virginia State Police trooper and a K9 were hurt after a Maryland driver rammed a stolen vehicle into a patrol cruiser during a high-speed pursuit on Interstate 495, authorities announced on Friday, Jan. 16.
A trooper spotted a vehicle traveling 90 mph on Interstate 95 northbound near Route 286 around 3:38 a.m., Virginia State Police said. The tags were reported stolen, and the driver sped up, resulting in a pursuit, state police said.
