ALEXANDRIA, Va. (DC News Now) — A man’s death while in custody is being investigated.
The Alexandria Sheriff’s Office said 60-year-old Ricardo Roberts died Monday morning at the hospital. He was being treated for “chronic medical issues,” the sheriff’s office said.
Roberts, of Alexandria, had been in custody since Dec. 24, 2025. Officials said he was held without bond on multiple counts of violating a protective order.
