Tech Entrepreneur Turned Killer: D.C. Woman Sentenced In Deadly Maryland DUI Crash

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. — A Prince George’s County Circuit Court judge on Jan. 20, 2026, sentenced Angel Jenee Rich, 39, of Washington, D.C., to 10 years in prison, suspending all but three years, after she was convicted of vehicular manslaughter in connection with a fatal 2023 crash, prosecutors announced.

Rich will be placed on supervised probation following her release.

Rich, a technology entrepreneur, pleaded guilty on July 25, 2025, to one felony count of negligent manslaughter by vehicle. The conviction stems from a crash that occurred on April 29, 2023, along MD-450 in Prince George’s County that killed 64-year-old Quinton Francis Jr., who was traveling to work at the time…
