Southbound S. Van Dorn Street at Eisenhower Avenue remains closed to traffic after a snowplow overturned in a crash late this morning (Sunday).
A snowplow driver was trapped inside their vehicle at the Fairfax County border after crashing at S. Van Dorn Street and Eisenhower Avenue shortly after 11 a.m. The crash damaged power lines and prompted first responders to close the roads, according to dispatches in Alexandria and Fairfax County.
“Speaking to drivers, it’s just really slippery here on South Van Dorn. The truck lost control, slid out, crashed into a pole,” a responder from the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department said on the scanner at 11:11 a.m. “There does not appear to be any injuries.”…
