WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — After a weekend winter storm dropped several inches of snow and sleet across the D.C. area, Virginia’s Interstate 95 and Interstate 395 Express lanes remain closed to drivers.
Monday morning, officials said the I-95/395 Express Lanes are closed as crews continue to remove snow and ice from entry ramps, with a focus on the ramps around the Springfield interchange.
Officials noted that while crews have completed the travel lanes and most of the ramps along the full I-95 and I-395 Express lanes corridor, there is no estimated time for when the Express lanes will reopen.
