Shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 28, officers from the Alexandria Police Department were called to investigate reports of shots fired in the 900 block of North Patrick Street.
When they arrived, police say that they found a man and boy inside an apartment building suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both were rushed to an area hospital, where the man later died from his injuries. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will now determine the cause and manner of death…
