DC woman sentenced for driving drunk during deadly crash in Lanham

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (DC News Now) — A D.C. woman was sentenced to 10 years in prison after driving drunk in Maryland leading to a man’s death.

Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Tara Jackson announced on Jan. 21 that 39-year-old Angel Rich was sentenced after being convicted of vehicular manslaughter. Out of her 10-year sentence, three years were suspended.

The deadly collision took place on the morning of April 23, 2023 on Martin Luther King Jr. Highway (MD-450). There, 64-year-old Quinton Francis Jr. was driving along the highway when the collision took place.
