WASHINGTON (7News) — Nearly two weeks after the winter storm, several streets in D.C.’s Ward 8 still have not been cleared. Some residents told 7News they felt their safety was an afterthought compared to other neighborhoods.
Some neighbors in the Fairlawn community, where several streets were still packed with snow, said they had to come together to pay a private contractor to clear their streets.
Concrete on some streets and walkways in Ward 8 still has not seen the light of day since the Jan. 25 storm. Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner Andrea Davis said the community is beyond frustrated and feels disrespected, knowing other parts of D.C. have been cleared continually…
