Harassment, excessive force, inappropriate conduct among complaints filed against MPD officers last year, new reports shows

WASHINGTON — Of the more than 1,900 allegations of misconduct lodged against the Metropolitan Police Department, more than 50% of complaints regarded alleged harassment, according to a new report released on Monday.

The findings were released in part of the Fiscal Year 2025 Annual Report from the District of Columbia Office of Police Complaints (OPC) and the Police Complaints Board (PCB). The report details the agency’s investigative activity, policy recommendations, and community outreach efforts over the past fiscal year.
