D.C. Daughter Stabs Mom’s Alleged Attacker in Late-Night Bridge District Clash

Last night, a domestic fight inside a southeast D.C. apartment ended with a man in the hospital and a mother’s daughter holding the knife that put him there, according to police. The stabbing happened just after 11 p.m. on Feb. 15 inside the Stratos at Bridge District apartments in the 600 block of Howard Road SE. Officers arrived to find a man suffering from a stab wound; he was taken to a hospital for treatment. Police said the daughter will not face charges.

Metropolitan Police told DC News Now that the man had strangled a woman during the altercation, and that the victim’s daughter grabbed a kitchen knife to stop the assault. According to the outlet, the suspect was later charged with assault and strangulation.
