The community is invited to celebrate the 1-year anniversary of The Go-Go Museum & Café on Thursday, February 19, marking a major milestone for D.C.’s official music and the cultural institution dedicated to preserving it.
The celebration will include a special press conference highlighting the museum’s accomplishments in 2025 and sharing what’s ahead for 2026, as Washington, D.C. commemorates 50 years of Go-Go music. February 19 holds added significance as it marks both the museum’s grand opening in 2025 and the day Go-Go was officially recognized as the music of the District in 2020.
