Former DC Special Police Officer sentenced for stomping on detainee’s head in a McDonald’s

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A former D.C. Special Police Officer (SPO) was sentenced to one year in prison for stomping on a person’s head as they were detained, according to the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO) for the District of Columbia.

Brigette O. Robertson, 40, pleaded guilty in July to a misdemeanor count of deprivation of rights under color of law.

According to court documents, on June 24, 2023, Robertson served as an SPO for Specific Protection Services, LLC, and patrolled the District to carry out law enforcement activities. That day, she was assigned to provide security for a McDonald’s in the 3900 block of Minnesota Avenue, NE.
