WASHINGTON — An Oxon Hill, Maryland, man has been formally charged in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred during a large fight in Northwest Washington last year, authorities announced.
Shawn Lamar Conway, 50, of Oxon Hill, was charged Feb. 23, 2026, in D.C. Superior Court with second-degree murder while armed. Following a preliminary hearing held Feb. 18, Judge Dayna Dayson found probable cause to proceed with the charge and ordered Conway to remain detained at the D.C. Jail.
The case stems from a stabbing reported shortly before 4 a.m. on Sept. 13, 2025, in the 2000 block of 14th Street NW. Third District officers responded around 3:48 a.m. for reports of a stabbing and located an adult male suffering from stab wounds. The victim, later identified as 34-year-old Jermaine Foster Jr., of Northwest D.C., was transported by D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead despite lifesaving efforts…
