WASHINGTON (7News) — In a matter of minutes, D.C. Ward 8 Councilmember Trayon White went from giving a speech on a school stage to being center stage in a courtroom. He was back in court on Wednesday for a pretrial motions hearing in his federal bribery charge.
White is accused of taking money and promising government contracts. His team took another swing at getting his case dismissed.
They argued that prosecutors had errors in the indictment against him. His attorney said it’s not clear if the government is going after white for a bribe or a larger scheme or plot…
