GREENBELT, Md. (7News) — A well-known Maryland lawyer could spend nearly 40 years in prison after being found guilty of tax and mortgage fraud.
Thomas Goldstein was convicted Wednesday by a federal jury in Greenbelt for tax evasion, helping prepare false tax returns, not paying taxes on time and lying to mortgage lenders, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ).
