DC man sentenced in Metro station robbery, attempting to hide firearm in trash can

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A D.C. man was handed a 36-month sentence Friday for illegally possessing a gun while on supervised release, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) for the District of Columbia.

Antonio Cook, 27, pleaded guilty in September to unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition by a felon. He is additionally ordered to serve three years of supervised release.

Court records said Cook is a twice-convicted felon for unlawful possession of a firearm and conspiracy to commit a crime of violence.
