Gas explosion leaves hundreds without gas services in Prince George’s County

WASHINGTON — Two days after a gas line exploded in Prince George’s County, hundreds of residents are still without service.

In an update sent from Washington Gas, crews are still working to repair a damaged service line on Cherry Hill Road in Beltsville, MD. As a precaution gas service has been shut off to the surrounding area as repairs and safety checks are being done.

At least 570 customers are currently being impacted. A temporary fuel supply has been established at the Riderwood Senior Living Community to support their essential operations…
