1 hurt, another detained after Southeast DC shooting

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — One person is in custody after a Friday night shooting in Southeast D.C. left a man hospitalized, according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).

Police said officers responded to reports of a shooting at 8:34 p.m. at a home in the 3000 block of Stanton Road, SE.

There, a man was found conscious and breathing, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital by DC Fire and EMS for treatment.
