WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A man was arrested after a Saturday afternoon police chase in Northeast D.C. ended with a rooftop arrest at a nearby school, according to U.S. Park Police (USPP).
Police said officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the area of Central Ave. and Vista St. NE after spotting a driver whose tags did not match the vehicle. However, the driver did not stop and sped off, prompting a chase.

Shortly after, the man abandoned the car and ran to the roof of a nearby school in the 3000 block of Central Ave., NE. This is near Friendship Public Charter School- Woodridge Elementary.
According to police, officers quickly apprehended the man and took him into custody without incident. His identity has not been released…
