WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The teacher’s aide accused of using hot sauce to punish a student with disabilities pleaded guilty to assault in court Monday.
Imani Davis was sentenced to five months of probation, during which she’ll be required to complete community service and mental health services, among other requirements.
Davis admitted to dipping her finger in hot sauce and then putting her finger in the mouth of 9-year-old David Griggs as a form of discipline.
