Police: 3 armed carjackings in 1 hour in DC

WASHINGTON — Police are investigating three carjackings that occurred in the span of just over an hour in the District Wednesday night. Investigators have not said whether the trio of crimes are connected, but are urging anyone with information to contact them.

The first carjacking was reported just before 8 p.m. at the intersection of 15th Place and Alabama Avenue SE. Officers responded and learned that three people took a 2011 Chevy Malibu with unknown Virginia tags at gunpoint.

About an hour later, at 8:55 p.m., Seventh District officers responded to a report of an armed carjacking at the unit block of Atlantic Street SW. Police say in this case, two men took a 2014 Toyota Camry with Maryland tags 4FC1385…
