WASHINGTON (7News) — A D.C. man was found guilty on Thursday after holding his case worker hostage in his apartment and threatening him with a metal pole and an ax, officials said.
Thomas Venable, 59, was living in an apartment through help from the government at “Friendship Place.” The organization at the 5400 block of Connecticut Avenue Northwest helps homeless people get back on their feet, according to U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro.
