The player, a Hyattsville resident, usually purchases bingo-style scratch-offs, according to Maryland Lottery officials. But during a 7-Eleven visit last month, the man listened to another’s customers suggestion that he try playing the new $1,000,000 Crossword scratch-off.
After buying a ticket, the man, a construction worker, continued his day as normal and went to work without checking his winnings. It wasn’t until later during his break that he actually scratched the ticket and realized he won a big prize: $100,000…
