Man pleads guilty to deadly Gaithersburg shooting, faces up to life in prison

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A Montgomery Village man faces up to life in prison after pleading guilty to a deadly April shooting in Gaithersburg, according to the Montgomery County Circuit Court.

Court documents stated that Demari Brown, 21, was charged with first-degree murder for the shooting death of 20-year-old Henry Krishawn Gilbert.

According to court records, shortly before noon on Apr. 26, 2025, Gilbert was found dead inside a green Honda Civic that had crashed in the 9800 block of Brookridge Court. Police noted that the car was still running.
