Chief Antonio DeVaul of the Takoma Park Police Department announced the arrest of Timothy William Sheils, 47, of Takoma Park, Maryland, on a charge of disorderly conduct.
According to police, during a City Council meeting, officers encountered Sheils, who became disorderly and began making loud outbursts that intentionally disrupted the meeting and drew the attention of residents in attendance. Officers advised Sheils that he was no longer welcome at the meeting and escorted him from the building.
Police said Sheils had been disruptive for nearly an hour prior to being removed. During that time, he also loudly kicked and pulled on both the front and rear entry doors while the meeting was ongoing.
