Five automated stop sign cameras across the City of College Park began issuing citations on March 16 after a 30-day warning period from February 16 to March 15. Drivers who fail to make a complete stop at monitored intersections will receive a $40 fine.
Violations are reviewed by police before citations are mailed to the registered vehicle owner. Unpaid fines may be reported to the Motor Vehicle Administration. Drivers can review footage and request a court hearing to contest a citation.
