Cycle Gear Announces Opening Date For Second Maryland Store

Cycle Gear has announced it will officially open its new Rockville location on Wednesday, March 25. The motorcycle gear retailer is taking over the former Party City space at 1500 Rockville Pike, bringing its second Maryland location to Montgomery County. The company’s first Maryland store is located in Glen Burnie.

The opening follows months of transition at the site after Party City shuttered all of its locations in early 2025, including stores in Rockville, Gaithersburg, and Wheaton, leaving several prominent retail vacancies across the county.

Founded in 1974, Cycle Gear has grown into a national chain with more than 165 stores across 39 states, along with a major e-commerce presence.
