On March 20, 2026, in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Judge Terrence McGann sentenced Jonathan Leon-Chacon, 28, of Silver Spring, to 75 years in prison for his role in the November 9, 2022 shooting on Colony Road in Silver Spring that killed 19-year-old Willians Anderson Alberto Cruz and wounded two others.
