A Charles County jury last week found Amar Julio Barrera, 44, of Clinton guilty of home Invasion, kidnapping and related charges after a five-day trial.
On Sept. 25, 2025, A. Worley with the Charles sheriff’s office responded to University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center for the report of an assault, Southern Maryland News previously reported. The victim’s injuries included two swollen and bruised eyes, lacerations to both wrists and legs, bruising to the head and neck and abrasions to his legs and right thigh.
