Takoma Park Police are investigating a theft by deception that resulted in more than $10,000 in stolen property.
According to police, on March 20 at approximately 7:41pm, officers responded to the 7900 block of Cole Avenue for a reported theft. The victim told police the incident began earlier in the evening, between 5pm and 6pm, while he was at a bus stop on Anne Street.
According to police, the victim was approached by an unknown man and woman who claimed they were from Saudi Arabia and needed assistance.
