The Independent Investigations Division (IID) of the Maryland Office of the Attorney General today released the body-worn camera footage from an incident in which a man died following his release from police custody. The incident involved the Montgomery County Police Department and occurred on Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, in Silver Spring, Montgomery County, Maryland.
The decedent was previously identified as 31-year-old Jamal Thompson of Silver Spring, Maryland.
