Metrobus crashes into DC restaurant after collision involving SUV, officials say

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) โ€” Three people were taken to the hospital Saturday morning after a Metrobus crashed into a Washington, D.C. restaurant following a collision involving an SUV, according to officials.

The DC Fire and EMS Department said crews responded to the crash at 7th and Q Streets NW, in the Shaw neighborhood, just after 7:10 a.m.

At the scene, responders found a Metrobus partially inside the Ambar Restaurant. Photos from the scene show the Metrobus crashed into the business on the sidewalk.

Officials noted that the restaurant was unoccupied at the time. The Shaw location typically opens for brunch at 10 a.m. on weekends…
