Construction has officially begun on Esvin’s Bagels and Cafe at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, months after plans for the family-owned concept were first announced.
We first reported on the upcoming bagel shop in August 2025, and work is now underway on the lower level space across from Kapow Buddy, near Old Navy and The Cheesecake Factory, where the cafe is expected to open later this year.
Esvin’s Bagels and Cafe is the first major venture for Esvin Jr., who is building on recipes and inspiration from his father to launch his culinary career. The menu is expected to feature hand-rolled bagels baked throughout the day, along with signature sandwiches like The Mavis, Esvin’s Chimichurri, and The Healthy E, as well as aguas frescas, made-to-order shakes, and fresh pastries.
