A lauded DC comfort food institution is getting ready to plant its flag in a new neighborhood. Chef Geoff’s will be opening its third District location in Mount Vernon Triangle in the not-too-distant future, reports Washington Business Journal.
Chef Geoff’s-led by the celebrated and titular Chef Geoff Tracy-will be serving customers at 111 Massachusetts Avenue NW. The restaurant will span approximately 5,500 square feet, with space to accommodate up to 185 customers inside.
Chef Tracy generously set aside some time to fill in What Now DC and its readers on Chef Geoff’s new Mount Vernon Triangle space. He explains that the location appealed to him thanks to its “beautiful views of the Capitol dome…Patio diners will enjoy this while dining al fresco.” He adds: “The neighborhood is thriving, the Georgetown Capitol Campus is growing, and it will be exciting to bring a new neighborhood restaurant to the area.”…
