MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A Silver Spring man is facing an arson charge after he was accused of starting a fire at Jiffy Lube in Montgomery County that caused thousands in damage, according to officials.
Pete Piringer, a spokesperson with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, said Tuesday that 57-year-old Aubrey Michelle Ellis was arrested following a fire and explosive investigation.
Ellis was taken into custody Wednesday and charged with second-degree arson, second-degree burglary and malicious destruction over $1,000 in connection with the April 29 incident.

On April 29, around 2:15 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to the 3200 block of Automobile Boulevard, where they found flames spreading to the roof of Jiffy Lube.
