DC police makes arrest in Minnesota Avenue shooting that left bystander hurt

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department announced Friday that a 23-year-old is facing charges after a woman was shot in Northeast, D.C.

The shooting happened on the night of March 9 in the 3900 block of Minnesota Avenue.

According to police, just after 11 p.m., the suspect was riding a bike and reportedly following an unknown victim. At one point, the suspect took out a gun and pointed at the direction of the woman and fired a shot, police said.
