2 men injured in separate DC shootings about an hour apart; MPD investigating

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Police are investigating after two separate shootings left two people injured in Washington, D.C., overnight.

Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the first shooting in the 300 block of 49th Street NE at around 1:30 a.m. on May 9.

At the scene, police reported finding a man with a gunshot wound. Officials noted that he was conscious and breathing, and responders took him to the hospital for treatment.
