Detectives with the Montgomery County Department of Police Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred early Saturday morning in the area of Glenbrook Road and Audubon Road in Bethesda.
Police identified the driver who died as 68-year-old Khanh Truong Nguyen of Bethesda.
According to investigators, officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded around 12:05 am on May 9 for a reported collision involving a white 2022 Toyota Venza traveling southbound on Glenbrook Road. Police say the vehicle failed to negotiate a turn, left the roadway, and struck a pole and a large tree. Nguyen was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
