DC teens call takeovers ‘fun’ but share what the city could do to keep them from going

WASHINGTON — A new youth curfew went into effect Friday night in four neighborhoods across DC, following a series of large teen gatherings and fights captured in videos that have spread quickly across social media.

Videos showing fights, including one inside a Chipotle in Navy Yard, have drawn attention online and fueled debate over how the city should respond to so-called “teen takeovers.”
