Pig-Sty BBQ saved: Beloved Boynton Beach spot finds a new home — within a live-music venue

Hours before Pig-Sty BBQ was set to permanently close Sunday, co-owner Tom Rhodemyre sold his last brisket and spare ribs to a packed house, then cleared his throat and broke the news that the Boynton Beach restaurant would survive after all.

“I told everyone, ‘We’re not done yet,’ ” Rhodemyre told the Sun Sentinel on Monday. “I said, ‘We just signed a collaboration with the Bungalow,’ and man, the customers just went nuts.”

“The Bungalow” is The Bungalow Bar & Grill, a Key West-themed, live-music hideaway near the Intracoastal Waterway that, starting Aug. 26, is expected to begin serving Pig-Sty’s entire menu under a new agreement both eateries signed late last week…
