NEW USE OF “PRO CHOICE:” SOUTH FLORIDA PARENTS SAY GIRLS SHOULD BE ABLE TO “CHOOSE” SKIRTS.
We’re not naming the school involved because, quite frankly, private schools can set their own rules. You have a choice: go there or don’t. But when a parent chooses to send their daughter to a private school, then complains about what she’s supposed to wear, you have to wonder if either the parent or child should be a part of the educational institution.
Here’s the email petition. This is real. We’re serious. We are also serious that there’s a section at the end about how a skirt-ban is bad for boys. Just consider that for a moment as you sing “Angel In The Centerfold” by J. Geils Band in 1981 and read the following:
“We, the parents and families of (South Florida private school) students, are asking the administration to reconsider the decision to eliminate uniform skirts for girls beginning next school year. Girls should be allowed to choose between school-approved skirts and shorts…
