New specialized unit allows eligible patients to recover comfortably at home just hours after surgery
August 19, 2026– Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center has opened a newly renovated Same-Day Surgery Unit, offering eligible patients undergoing select orthopedic and colorectal procedures the opportunity to return home the same day as their surgery while receiving the same high-quality care patients have come to expect.
The specialized nine-bed unit is designed to support patients recovering from procedures such as shoulder, knee, and hip replacements, colorectal, hernia, appendectomy, cholecystectomy and other general surgeries.
