County commissioners do not want to let go of the Artistry Lakes land, even after an “aggressive” annexation from the Village of Wellington earlier this year. The Palm Beach County Commission has shot down a joint planning agreement over concerns it would lead to more unincorporated areas west of Wellington being absorbed into the municipality.
At a comprehensive plan public meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 26, the commissioners considered an Interlocal Service Boundary Agreement (ISBA) with Wellington to resolve a dispute over the annexation of the 446 acres of undeveloped land.
