RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A Riviera Beach woman was arrested Saturday after she allegedly posed as a real estate agent and stole tens of thousands of dollars in escrow deposits from a first-time homebuyer.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, 41-year-old Cherisse Louidor was arrested on charges of grand theft of $20,000 or more and operating as an unlicensed real estate broker. Investigators began looking into Louidor after a victim came forward in October 2024 reporting missing funds.
The victim told deputies she hired Louidor in May 2024 to help her navigate buying her first home, unaware that Louidor’s broker license had actually been revoked by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation in April 2023 following previous administrative complaints regarding unreturned deposits…
